Cute huh?

Jacob brought this home from school. They call it a "Dirty Baby". I think it's cute. He's excited because we are going to give it a hair cut!

Inspiring Talk

Entertaining yes?.......No

Somehow the word has spread, and now I have people calling me just to hear me talk. No, it's not because I am so special, wise, or well liked. No, no, no. It's because I sound completely rediculous. Kind of like Minnie Mouse on the old black and white cartoons. (I have a sinus infection, ear infection and laryngitis) My aunt said talking to me was the best laugh she had had all day. Joyce and Catie called just for laughs. Grandma was nice about it, but I could hear Grandpa laughing away in the background. Mark kindly informed me that I sounded like crap......five or six times. I was just happy to provide so much entertainment to everyone, even the drive-thru teller at the bank, and the nurses at the doctor's office.
On the positive, I have learned that my kids can hear me and do listen even though I can barely hear myself. So why don't they listen when my voice is fine?........... ;>) A funny side note, the doctor said to rest my voice. How do you do that with four kids? Unlike the dog they don't come when I whistle and lay down when I snap my fingers. Maybe the old dog can teach them new tricks. Happy Friday!

Samuel's 5th Birthday

We celebrated Sam's 5th birthday last Saturday. We spent the day together just the six of us doing what he wanted for his special day. We played at a park, then the three older boys and David went swimming. Connor and I watched happily from the side. We had a very fun day together. On Sunday we did a cake with grandparents and aunts and uncles. I will have to post those pics later.
