Gluten-Free Life

~David~

Our boys have taken a rather strong distaste to all things gluten-free as they don't have the same flavor as "normal" food.

I was pulling out a jar of peanut butter that I put aside for myself (to avoid contamination by bread crumbs) and Ryan and Jacob noticed I had marked it with the letter D.

Ryan asked, "You mean you can eat peanut butter Dad?"

I replied "Yes."

To which Jacob, with his powers of reason, replied: "You mean we have been eating gluten-free peanut butter all this time!?" with a disgusted look on his face.

Oh, the joys of finding out you have been tricked!

Bradley is One Month Old Today

Part of me wants to say that it's gone by fast, but then the other part of me recounts all the long nights and wants to say that it has just gone on forever!!!  : )

Bradley is 10 lbs. now and all he cares about is eating and sleeping.

He can smile a little now and loves to be held.

He is repeating a couple of vowel sounds now too.

I love this picture of Connor. He is such a goof!

Such Nice Boys....

A conversation with Sam and Jacob:

Mom, can we have Mexican for dinner tomorrow? (meaning go to the Mexican restaurant)
No, Daddy can't eat anything there. They don't have anything that is gluten free.

Well, what are we going to do with Dad?

Ya, where can we take him? (I thought they were trying to think of a restaurant David could go to.)

Well, I don't know.

He could go to grandma and grandpa's and we can go to Mexican.

That wouldn't be nice to go to dinner without Daddy and leave him behind.

Mom, he wouldn't be alone, he'd be with his own family.

We are Daddy's "own family".

No, he'd be with his mom and dad. And we could go to Mexican.

They are so sweet sometimes. :) It was way too funny, David and I laughed quite a bit.

Sprinkler Fun

Linda and Mark got Connor a sprinkler for his birthday, and he loved it. The older boys did too.
He went running to wave goodbye to his "Nanny and Poppy".

Happy Birthday Connor!

Connor is two today! We celebrated last night so David could be there for his birthday. Connor sat up as I was taking this picture. He did have is face down on the tray. He was so embarrassed that we were singing to him. It was cute!
A very happy birthday boy.

Bowling Fun

Everyone loved bowling. However, Connor didn't like waiting for his turn.

Swim Lessons

Swim lessons are easily the boys favorite part of summer. They went the first two weeks after school got out and then they are going again at the end of the month with Emily, Ashley, and maybe Ian too. Connor will get to join in too.

Tidbits

Connor put on my head band all by himself so I had to get a pic of his girly moment.
Ryan "working" at Nana and Poppa's
Sam's kindergarten program.
Ryan, Connor, Nana and I got to go watch.
**Baby Update**
The baby has decided to grow a little too much and I am now measuring two weeks ahead. I didn't gain any weight this month, so the Dr. is thinking he will be another big baby. I was hoping for another Connor sized baby, but we will see.....

The Zoo On A Field Trip.....To The Zoo

That albino hippo on the left is me.

Classic Sam smile.

My handsome best friend.

This was Connor's first trip to the zoo that he was awake more than asleep. He had a lot of fun.

My handsome boys.

That's a classic Ryan face.

Ian had fun too!
I like Jacob's reflection in this picture.

The Baby

We weren't able to get many good pictures. The baby is breech and he had his face tucked away. He looked good though and long little legs that he kept stretching out. It was cute.
This is his hand and it looks like he's got a few too many fingers, but at the 13 week ultrasound we counted and he had the right number of fingers and toes.

Little Bits.....

He was trying really hard to hide.
Connor was being a good brother and trying to cover Ryan up but it's kind of hard when you are sitting on the blanket. Ryan never woke up.
I think they have eyes on the back of thier butts.
Connor loves to play in the sleeping bags.
Jacob really had fun at his First Grade Music Program.
